Amy loves her Baby Einstein videos that Grandma and Grandpa Shivley got her. We lay her on the bed propped up with a Boppy pillow and when she gets really into the video she gets excited and makes hand and foot movements like she is the conductor of an orchestra.

By my measurements she is 25 inches long and weighs 10 pounds. That means she is tall and skinny! I think she may be starting to lose her hair, too. Either that or she has already been around the dogs too much and they have taught her to shed. She drools alot, too. I hope that doesn't mean she is starting to teethe early!!!

She has been sleeping all day today (so far) so I think that might mean she is having a little growth spurt.

Amy took her first road trip (other than her trip home from Florida) last weekend. Here she is with her cousins: Madyson, Jael & Landon. Landon was a little sleepy.

Madyson did a great job holding Amy and helping take care of her. I guess she's had plenty of practice with Jael & the Lando.

Amy likes rattles now. She will follow them with her eyes around the room, especially when Daddy is playing with her.

Here is my desperate attempt to keep the pacifier in Amy's mouth. She is adamant about having her pacifier since she recovered from her cold. It is a bad thing when it falls out of her mouth. (BTW...it didn't work).

At 9 weeks and a couple days old she weighs 9 pounds 6 ounces and is 23 inches long. She had her 2 month check up yesterday which means a bunch of shots. She took them like a trouper and barely cried at all. Her skin has cleared up completely from the baby acne and the dryness and her cradle cap is almost gone as well.

This is by far the scariest thing I have had to do as a mom so far. I have been fearing trimming her nails since she was still in the hospital. All of the grandparents said it was time after looking at her fingernails, and I didn't even tell them about when she scratched her little nose and drew blood the day before.

I waited until she was SOUND asleep before venturing up the courage to do it. I got all 10 of them without drawing blood or waking her. PHEW!

This "Snugli" puts her to sleep in about 5 seconds. She doesn't wake up no matter how much I move around with her in it. I think I could play a volleyball match without waking her :) .

This is the first time Amy has paid any attention to toys. She usually notices them but doesn't give them a second look. Yesterday morning I was putting on my makeup and I heard the noise that one of her toys makes when it is squeezed (a crinkling noise). When I saw what she was doing, I grabbed the phone to call Mike and sprinted downstairs (almost falling) to grab the camera.
