Worst mascot ever? I know the game didn't go well for Cal, but this guy showed up like this. We asked some Cal fans after the game why they didn't have a scary or aggressive bear for a mascot. They said that their chief rival (Stanford) has a tree for a mascot and anything is scarier than that. Plus he kind of looks like a middle aged intelligent bear (he is wearing a cardigan) and this reminds students that they may not be the best at sports, but they are tops at chemistry and physics. You might beat them at football, but they can blow you up. Ted Kaczynski taught at Berkley. So don't mess with the Bears!

Mike & I went to Knoxville last weekend for alumni weekend for the soccer team. Three of my old teammates that were there had baby girls, and one is due in October with a boy. Holding the babies made everything seem so real. It is hard to believe that Mike & I are going to have a little girl in less than 3 months. We are so ready, though.
