Mike and I were watching the Olympics last night and Amy was very fascinated by the diving. She got so excited that she would jump when the divers jumped off of the diving board, and wave her hands spasticly, and then screech and scream when they hit the water. I wish I caught it on video...

She weighs 21.5 pounds (she likes to stand on the scale now). We moved her up to size 4 diapers even though they are huge on her. Her size 12-month leggings are still loose on her but 18m or 18-24m shirts and most dresses fit her well.

She will eat as much cheese as I offer her, but isn't very interested in cookies or other sweets.

She likes to open and close the drawers in the kitchen...all of the cabinets are kept locked, so she really thinks she is getting away with something even though she can't reach inside of the drawers.

When I ask her if she has poopies she either runs off and hides in the dining room laughing as I try to grab her, or nods her head and smiles at me.

She now prefers to push her toy car instead of riding in it. I dread that she will want to start pushing her stroller soon.

She doesn't realize she does it, but sometimes she puts her hand on her hip and has a "sassy walk." There is nothing cuter than the sassy walk.

She hides the remote control from me and I swear she laughs when I can't find it.

She loves to spin in circles.

Mike taught her how to signal to a truck to honk and that never gets old to her. When we walk around the neighborhood she occasionally gets a car to toot its horn.

We are both very much looking forward to meeting her biological half sister on Labor Day weekend. Her name is Leia and she turned 10 today! How exciting!!!

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing such sweet little stories. I laughed (and even cried a little) when I pictured Mike teaching her how to get trucks to honk and then again picturing her laughing as you look for the remote control. Thanks for sharing fun stories and adorable pictures. Love from Mississippi, Lauren
