Prunes & rice cereal for Owen

No surprise this little chunk-chunk likes to eat some prunes & cereal!

And mashed peas are pretty good, too!

a few more pictures from Va Beach

Owen and I did a lot of this...

This is just before Mike & Amy took a kayak out to see the porpoises.
You can see a fin almost in the center of the picture.

Labor Day at Va Beach

Owen enjoying his first Broncos game.

Amy Virginia in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Owen's first time on the beach.

Sweet, sweet boy.

The people next to us on the beach happened to be friends of  Aunt Carmond &
Uncle Dick.  They offered their kayak so Mike and Amy could get a close up of
some dolphins.  They paddled out a few hundred feet and were in the middle of school
of about 20 porpoises.  What an experience!!!

Holy cow 2 months have flown by!  2 months!!!  Owen is already in size 1 diapers.  He eats up to 8 ounces of Enfamil Gentlease every 4 hours during the day.  He sleeps up to 11 hours at night, which is crazy!  Last week he weighed 11.2 pounds.  I'm sure he is 12 pounds, or very close by now.  His eyebrows have turned dark brown and his eyelashes are dreamy.  I think he will be a summer blonde and I know his eyes will stay blue.  He stays awake more and more each day.  He has given me one really good "social smile" and several to Amy.  He loves Amy, no doubt.  She more than reciprocates.  He is nothing shy of perfect.

It makes me happy when I walk in to Owen's nursery in the morning and I see Amy's little red step stool pushed up against his crib.  This means she checked on him during the night.  She can't get enough of him.  Neither can Mike.  I certainly can't, either.

I finally ordered birth announcements.  I can't wait to mail them out, but it will be a couple of weeks because we are continuing our 4th of July tradition of to visiting Mike's side of the family in Ohio all next week.

Did I mention he slept 11 consecutive hours the last weekend??!!??  ELEVEN!

My baby is a big girl.  She has graduated from PreK and moves on to Kindergarten in the Fall!
She had some great experiences and made some great memories in Ms Olivia and Ms Ilie's class at Primrose.  And more importantly, she made some great friends.

She got the "Zoologist Award" for her interest and love for nature the outdoors and animals.
